Singapore User Group – April 16 2026

Hi OpenSearch Community in Singapore,
This is our first networking event for OpenSearch enthusiasts and builders in Singapore. OpenSearch is evolving rapidly, and we’re witnessing significant shifts in how the project approaches everything from AI integration to everyday log management.
Agenda
- 6:30 PM – 7:00 PM — Networking and Meet & Greet with some Pizzas!
- 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM — What’s New, What’s Next: OpenSearch Community Meetup
Speakers – Michael Supangkat and Farid Baharuddin
What We’ll Cover
We’ll open with highlights from the OpenSearch 3.5 release — features you can start using today. These include the Prometheus Discover experience, which enables you to visualize metric data from Prometheus data sources directly alongside your logs and traces, as well as new support for agentic conversation memory, making it significantly easier to manage context and history for LLM-powered applications.
We’ll then take a broader look at the 2026 vision, exploring planned features that signal where the project is headed:
- Automated Query Insights — How the engine is moving toward self-healing capabilities by automatically detecting slow query patterns and recommending optimizations.
- Interleaved A/B Testing — A closer look at tuning search relevance using live data directly within the engine, eliminating the need for external tooling.
Looking forward to seeing you and learning from each other!
