    Jochen Kressin is the Co-Founder and Director of Eliatra, where he leads the company’s strategic technical direction and the development of its core technologies. With over two decades of experience in search and security, Jochen has played a key role in shaping the OpenSearch ecosystem from the very beginning.

    Prior to founding Eliatra, he created Search Guard, the first comprehensive security suite for Elasticsearch, while leading floragunn. Today, he continues to be a driving force behind secure, open, and enterprise-ready search solutions.

    Jochen is a frequent speaker at international conferences, sharing insights on search architecture, data protection, and regulatory compliance.

  • Jon Handler is Director of Solutions Architecture at AWS, working with the OpenSearch Project and providing help and guidance to a broad range of OpenSearch users. Prior to joining AWS, he worked on a large-scale e-commerce search engine. Jon holds a Master of Science and PhD in computer science and artificial intelligence from Northwestern University.
